Cinderella's garden was my first in many Disney themed musical cabinets that i had done and was the starting block for more.
The garden was made using real Sandstone and was also my first time in using it.I bought a simple dolls house kit for a bandstand which i adapted to be used as a gazebo.
There where many different scale of flowers and hedging used to create this garden, some of the plants and shrubs where designed to be used for a model railway but i found that some could be used for this garden as moss in the walls and box hedging.
.Model railway trees were used as i found they looked more realistic thanstandard 1/12 scale trees. You can also see the box hedging which is also designed for model railways but works great as a small hedging in a garden.
To give some more added detail to the garden a gable end of a house was built with a balcony. Sue Cook plaster balustrade was used and sandstone wall caps from Stacey's Miniature Masonry. A photo of a bedroom interior was used behind the french doors.
A water fountain was used and to give the effect of running water i used fiber optic cables glued in to position and then applied liquid water over the top. When it was set it gave the effect of flowing water. There are a few animals on the fountain which are two blue tits and a lizard all hand sculpted by Irmgard Gratzan.
